Or in other words with excess fuid in their extravascular space. Patients will also come in with excess/extra fluid in their vascular space. This will cause them to have and increased/high blood pressure. During dialysis fluid is removed from the intravascular space, the blood stream. This will then drop the patients blood pressure. But without some kind of intervention, the patients blood pressure will drop, The patients body can sense this and will move all the extra fluid in their extravascular space (their fluid in their legs (edema) or fluid in their lungs causing shortness of breath) and move it into their vascular space/blood stream to ensure blood pressure is maintained during dialysis.
