How did I win the Rogue Invitational Qualifier 4.5 months after surgery | Ricky Garard

The 2023 Rogue Invitational Qualifier also known as THE Q was run over 4 days in August. Anyone in the world can sign up and try to qualify in the top 5 to earn an invitation to the famous Rogue Invitational Event held in Austin Texas on the 27/28/29th October where the winner is awarded $250k. In April I sustained a grade 3 rupture to my right shoulder after a MTB crash. I was required to get surgery & went through a 12 week healing process in a sling doing specific rehab and missing out on the 2023 CrossFit Games. This qualifier weekend was the 21 week mark & the workouts Rogue released proved this was going to be the biggest test on my shoulder thus far if I wanted to take on the challenge & try to qualify. I set this goal of making it to Rogue at the 12 week mark & I had heavily been focusing & pushing to make this possible so it was going to be hard to stop me.
