Everyone wants to do it, but only a few can bear the struggle, doubt and failure it will test you with. There's many techniques out there used by expert writers to find joy in their craft, stay consistent and push through the darker days. None are miracle pills to solve it all. None are easy to find. And to search for all of them is beyond this video. What I can offer is a look at the writing routine. All of the most famous novelists, poets and thinkers of past ages have had a writing routine. It was, and continues to be, a foundation in which the writing habit can unravel to produce works of greatness. Some are weird, some are mild and others are plain crazy. But the routine will remain a loyal friend to fall back on whenever life gets busy and you are knocked out your flow. Here, I share my own routine and what I think about as I approach each step, so that hopefully you may be inspired to design your own -one that serves you in your road ahead.
