In this video, we show you the equipment that you need for Dry Needling and how to prepare yourself and the patient for a Dry Needling treatment. This workflow will help you with safety and effectiveness in Dry Needling DRY NEEDLING EQUIPMENT: Trolley Swabs Needle Collector Hand Disinfectant Disinfection Spray Needles Tray for the Trash and Gloves DRY NEEDLING TECHNIQUE: For each muscle you check: 1) The landmarks and precautions and decide which needle to use. 2) Palpate the taut band and the trigger point that you want to needle 3) Disinfect. Depending on the product, it takes 15 to 30 seconds. Before you use a needle, always check if the needle is bent or if it has any other damage. 4) Insert the needle. NEEDLE RECOMMENDATION + USAGE: We use Seirin needles since 25 years Open the needle package carefully. Only open it down to the grip, not down to the needle. Like that the actual needle is still protected Place it on the trolley When your needling is finished, dispose it in the needle collector PATIENT POSITION: The patient should be in a relaxed position; the muscle must be relaxed.
