Wildlife on the Water of Leith - June 2025

June has been a bumper month for wildlife on the Water of Leith. My cameras filmed apx. 6,000 video clips (20 seconds each) during June. There were countless, otter, badger, fox & roe deer clips, together with plenty birdlife, including herons with.... let's just say, a varied diet (you'll see what I mean in the video). One particular highlight was filming a 9 week old otter cub! It came out of the natal holt, for the first time, in the last few days of May & one of my cameras filmed it a couple of days later on the 1st of June! The two other otter cubs that appear are the older pair & they're 10 months old. Amazing to see so much wildlife in and around the Water of Leith each month.
