A quick boat survey down the Dodo River, Ivory Coast

We set out on the lower Dodo River, Ivory Coast on a quick scoping trip to set up camera traps and do some birding. Our goal was to see if we could get the resident Forest Buffalo and Pygmy Hippos on the camera traps. We were fortunate enough to bump into some of the Forest Buffalo on the trip but unlucky to miss out on the Pygmy Hippos. Slightly upstream in the Dodo River I set some traps to catch the species presented. Fish caught were Awaous lateristriga, Papyrocranus afer, Heterobranchus cf. longifilis Hepsetus occidentalis and Pelmatolapia mariae (among others). Dragonflies pictures are a female Sapho ciliata and Eleuthemis cf. umbrina. All non fish and dragonfly photographs are my colleagues, Tyron Clark. He got the buffalo photos too!
