CINDERELLA is a French silent short film produced by Star Film. Cinderella goes to the ball, where she meets the Prince - but will she remember to leave before the magic runs out? It's based on the book Cinderella by Charles Perrault. This is (perhaps) the first film to use photographic dissolves, or fades, as a transition effect. This was done using Georges Melies' method of in-camera editing.
