Mexico Travel Vlog: AMAZING Day of The Dead Experience

Day of the dead aka Día de Muertos is a Mexican festival that celebrates loved ones in their afterlife. This travel experience was on my bucket list since long before the Disney movie "Coco" made it mainstream. For my birthday in November, I gifted myself a 3 month trip to Americas with the sole purpose of experiencing "Day of the dead in Guanajuato", Mexico. Festival dates easily co-incided and I was on my way for a trip of a lifetime. Little did my friend Michael and I know that we were in the wrong city the first two days - Leon... instead of Guanajuato - eventually, we made it there and the day long festivities, surely did not disappoint. We got our day of the day skull masks painted, enjoyed celebrations in a tunnel, watched a lovely day of the day parade, drank a lot of mezcal shots and had a blast. One thing we regret is that we could not find cool day of the day costumes but hey - we did our best with literally zero planning!!!
