I had no idea that it was based off Colombia and latino culture, and as a central american woman myself, I thoroughly connected to so many characters and circumstances. It was lovely to see aspects of my childhood and culture in a film so well done and so universal with such a lovely message and wonderful music. Music even got me dancing at one point!
