This is easily the hardest thing I can play, and it is way more difficult than my Violet Evergarden medley, which used to be the most difficult thing I can play. The footage you see might not match the audio because it’s from another take. So why Bios? This arrangement, like the older version, has many jumps. Unlike the older version, the jumps are more varied. To me, jumps, chords, and octaves are easier to play because I don’t really practice scales (but I am now). I wanted to try out Bios because I thought I could handle the jumps. Well, I was wrong… Soon enough, I knew that this arrangement suited the hands of the arranger, and the intervals and jumps can be unforgiving because they happen so fast. Not to mention, the three hand technique in this arrangement gave me so much trouble, since the dynamics and jumps had to be spot on. This arrangement shifts from F sharp minor to E flat minor. To me, the F sharp minor section is harder because it has more jumps, and the so called four hand technique section happens when we return back to F sharp minor. Like the song, we go down a minor third for the chorus. The only tricky part about the chorus was that it was the melody, and it had to stand out. The arpeggios that happened in this arrangement gave me lots of trouble as well, because the happen in a second or less. I have never been so mad practicing arpeggios in a while. Overall, I like how the final recording turned out to be. I think I captured most of the ideas that Animenz had for this arrangement. There is always room for improvement, so I will revisit this in the future and make a reupload or revamped version of this recording. This is my new favourite Animenz arrangement. It took me around 3 months (because of school and limited practice time) which was the same amount of time to learn Change the world. That’s it for this one. For my next Animenz arrangement, it’s going to be Sincerely followed by Sirius. Another thing: I am making an arrangement for Viva la Vida but what makes this one unique is that it has its own sheets!!
