Experts say the rarely-seen meteorological sight was caused by the converge of warm and cold air flows. A local weather forecaster said the amazing spectacle was called altostratus clouds. Generally speaking, this type of cloud is formed by the meeting of dry and cold air with a warm and humid airflow. Why can you see that it's sunny on one side but cloudy on the other side. This is because the border of the clouds is right above our heads and creates a line that separates the sunny and cloudy sides," explained Zhang Jinling.
