Last fall, I walked into a hostel in Beijing and heard this rap group playing. The boss told me the name: 安全着陆, i.e Safe Landing. I combed the internet for information, but to my surprise, they weren’t famous. I mean sure, they had some followers, but come on, this was the best Mandarin rap I’d ever heard! So, while producing my own bilingual rap EP, I learned this song I sing for you today. It’s called 个人简介, which means personal introduction, typically seen on resumes. Honestly, I think I’m much better now than when I made my EP. But fuck it, I had to create a complete thing before I could really improve. Unfortunately, I don’t have the funds to produce an album, so I figured I’d start recording Chinese cover songs, in the hopes of attracting attention and maybe investment.
