I chose to cover "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus because it presented a challenge. I'm a professional cellist/symphony musician, and am not exactly used to this sort of music. For years I have been wanting to educate myself in the genre of popular music. By covering this song, I learned how it was constructed, put together, and performed. Very educational! After transcribing it, I decided to make it my own. I learned the piano at age 2, violin at age 3, and cello at age 5. I pretend with the viola and upright bass, but it works. Layering all of them was entertaining and a fun experience. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed recording it!
