A Dying Girl’s Guide to Life | Grace Wethor | TEDxYale

At 13 years old, Grace Wethor was given six months to live. This moment propelled her to explore and experiment with the "meaning of life." Almost ten years later, she is now a bestselling author, award-winning filmmaker, and legislation advocate spearheading bills at the White House and on Capitol Hill that would bring over $100M in funding. Grace Wethor is an award-winning director, actress, bestselling author, and brain cancer advocate/survivor. After being told she had six months to live due to an untreatable brain tumor at age 13, she moved to Los Angeles and began pursuing her dreams with full force. She gave her first TED Talk at age 15, wrote her first book at 16, spoke at the United Nations at 17, and released her first docu-series at 18. She is now a brain cancer/pediatric health legislation advocate and has made her way to the White House and Capitol Hill while spearheading bills that would bring over $100m in funding to youth healthcare. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
