Data Trends for 2025

Tim Jennings, Head of Data at Synechron, presents the #data trends to watch out for in 2025. Learn more about Synechron's Data services: https://www.synechron.com/what-we-do/... Data is evolving due to the rapid evolution of generative ai, here's Tim's top trends for data in 2025. The first one is data trust. We expect to see the emergence of enforceable data contracts. These work both for the #ai agents using them and for the producer of the data. Business logic will be elevated out of the application and into the AI layer, so we can expect to see ai interacting directly with data. This also potentially change monetization model with eyes on screen being replaced by ai agents. Partly, this means providing data which is fit for purpose, a bar much higher than simple data quality. Second trend: data products. Data products are putting the curation and management of data in the hands of the people who the data best and federating that across an organization. Data products presents data that is fit for purpose and intended for use across the organization in a concurrent and coherent manner and to abstract away from the generation of that data through the business process that created it. the advantage is that the data published is fit for purpose, it concords with the other data in the organization and allows you to traverse the stovepipes in which data is normally mastered. Finally, trend 3: AI for data. AI allows users who don't have sophisticated data management techniques to interact with data. It allows users to join structured and unstructured data, and to do analytics which they wouldn't be able to do alone. AI can also help with management of data, understanding the schemas, the ontologies, building knowledge graphs and making data more accessible to the user community.
