New form of thrust testing for swords

This is an introduction into a new type of proposed evaluation for sword thrusting/penetration testing. All feedback and criticism welcome! To re-iterate the idea discussed in the video, gravity is used to maintain constant force/acceleration on the swords (dropped from a consistent height) and the foam provides a consistent testing medium. It is not intended to be an analog to anything (such as flesh), but instead to just serve as a consistent baseline which all swords can be compared against. Since different swords have different mass, each is dropped through two repeated trials: one with the blade by itself, and another where the blade is brought up to 2500g so that all swords may be compared to a ‘normalized force’ independent of their individual masses. I am still improving the harnesses and release systems for the blades, but already doing trials of ~10 drops per configuration yields very consistent results for each sword. Also recorded here for comparison are the mass of the individual blades, as well as the flex strength of the blade measured in kilograms.
