What to do in SAGRES?...🇵🇹 Algarve

Hello guys in this beautiful day 🙂 Today I'm taking myself and you on the tour in Sagres! We will check out local weather, food and much more. I will let you know also about real estate prices here if you want to move here💶 Little fact dose about the place: Sagres is a parish in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, in the southern Algarve. It has 1,894 inhabitants in an area of 34.37 square kilometres (13.27 sq mi). Sagres is near the Western end of the world's longest estimated straight-line path over land, at 11,241 km, ending near Jinjiang in the People's Republic of China. The name Sagres is derived from Sagrado (holy) Sagres was created in 1519, through the division of the municipality of Vila do Bispo. Until 1834, Sagres was an independent municipality. Sagres is located in the extreme southwest of continental Europe, and marked by two structures: the Cape St. Vincent and Sagres Point. Exposed to the Atlantic Ocean, it is influenced by Mediterranean currents, with high cliffs between 60–200 metres. Weather in Sagres: Mild winters and warm to very warm summers. Temperatures are very moderate year round. November and December are the rainy months. Similarly to other locations in the Algarve lot of marine fogs, which rises the average relative humidity to around 80%. [WK] Sagres because of discovery of the African coast and beginning of Atlantic navigation of Portuguese always was associated with discovering the world🌏 Cabo de sao Vicente: Europe’s southwesternmost point is a 6km northwest of Sagres centre and that was the last piece of home that Portuguese sailors once saw as they launched into the ocean. Sagres beer is not made in Sagres. It is made in Vialonga. In 1968 The Vialonga Brewery became the biggest beer manufacturer in the country, the only one with a malt factory, and one of the most modern breweries in Europe. The Sagres brand was launched in May 1940, as an export beer, at the famous Portuguese World Exhibition, in Lisbon. Its name comes from the town of Sagres. And I saw this quote in Sagres beer website: In a country full of sun, a beer is not a drink, it is a tradition. 🫡 So if you want to live here: The place is small and for long term rent I found only 4 places - only single apartment with 1 bedroom was for 950euros per month, 2 bedroom townhouse for 1500 euros per month,  3 bedroom villa for 4300 euros per month and 2 bedroom apartment for 1600 euros per month. So I cannot give you average price for rent in here, from only 4 properties. For buying however I saw one, one bedroom apartment for 200k but average price for this place with mostly luxury villas is 4600 euros per square meter. So if you get 100 square meter house it will set you back around half a million. All other expenses is about the same like in other parts of Portugal. You can check out my other video where I talk about food, transportation. One big store is Intermarche, and couple small mercados. Really chilled out place. I think Sagres don't have hospital or clinic. So enjoy Sagres and stay tuned!!!🙂🖐 #portugal #sagres #algarve #viladobispo #faro #beer #praias #atlanticocean #nature
