In this tutorial, I'll discuss the concept of relative major/minor chords and scales. This principle of music theory describes the relationship between the major scale and the natural minor scale. The outcome of this study proves that for every major scale, there is a minor scale with the exact same notes; likewise, for every major chord, there is a min7 chord that has the same notes as well. We will be working in the key of C, but this knowledge will apply to all keys.
