Backpacking South America (As Digital Nomads) - Peru Hop

In the sixth and final edition of our Backpacking South America series, we take a look at our trip from La Paz to Lima on the Peru Hop bus. This is an excellent way to travel between Bolivia and Peru and hit all the hot spots like Lake Titicaca, Cusco, Huacachina, and Paracas. It's super flexible, as you can stay as long as you want in each destination and just hop on the bus when you're ready. We were definitely more backpackers than digital nomads on this portion of the trip, although we did spend a few extra days in Cusco working. This is a great town for digital nomads as it has many cafes and coworking spaces. We had a bit of an Airbnb fail, but the problem was quickly resolved and we got an even better place. The highlight of this trip was our 4-day jungle trek to Machu Picchu with American Inca Trail. We did a bit of biking, hiking, and zipling to reach this bucket list destination. On our way back to Lima, we also enjoyed a short hike on the Isla del Sol in Lake Titicaca, some sandboarding and a dune buggy ride in the desert, and spotting penguins on a boat trip.
