Now turbocharged with electronic power steering, the F10 M5 was designed to be faster than its predecessor whilst meeting increasingly stringent ecological requirements. It also attempted to answer many of the questions left by its radical, beguiling, if flawed, E60 predecessor. As a result, the F10 M5 was now easy to steer around town due to the DCT gearbox and torquier in the mid-range thanks to a Hot-V turbocharged setup.
