If you want to see cheetahs in action, stick around because we’re getting started. ► Subscribe For New Videos! ► https://goo.gl/UpeqAc Watch our “Top 15 Most Incredible Golden Eagle Attacks” video here:   • Top 15 Most Incredible Golden Eagle A...   Watch our “15 Times Big Cats Hunting Their Prey” video here:   • 15 Times Big Cats Hunting Their Prey   Watch our “15 Brutal Moments When Injured Animals Become Prey To” video here:   • 15 Brutal Moments When Injured Animal...   Cheetah Hunts Wildebeest The cheetahs in this video are on the prowl, and when they spot a herd of wildebeest, they go for the kill. They dig their specialized claws, which are like grappling hooks, into the heels of the wildebeest, pinning the animal to the ground. The brothers live up to their 50% strike rate, which means that half their hunts end in success with the other half being dangerous life lessons. It is a delicate balance between risk and reward. Two cheetah brothers chase a wildebeest, and when one of the cheetahs latches on to a smaller wildebeest, a larger one rams into the cheetah, knocking him off his prey. However, the two brothers work together and take down the smaller wildebeest with brute force. These cheetahs are expending a lot of energy running after wildebeest and not catching any until one of them manages to slow one down, and with the help of the others, the kill is made. When a young cheetah comes face-to-face with a young wildebeest calf, the wildebeest charges the cheetah and scares him, but when mom arrives, it’s a whole other game, and she takes down the wildebeest without a problem, as the cubby joins in to feel like he had something to do with making the hunt a success. I guess it’s good for his confidence. Cheetah Hunts Scrub Hare A young cheetah catches a scrub hare, only to release it again, so it can practice catching it again. Felines, from domestic cats to big cats do this often, and sometimes it's just to hone their skills and get a little practice because they know their prey is too weak or small to get away. A scrub hare runs for its life in this video, as a relentless cheetah follows it from behind in hopes of a snack, and the cheetah's speed helps the feline make the kill. The cheetah in this video is a fantastic mom. She caught a scrub hare but did not kill it and is now teaching her little bouncy cub how to hunt. It’s difficult to watch as the poor scrub hare is being played with and fighting for its life, but it's a critical life lesson for the four-month-old cub.
