Theories, Legends and Lore: Skyrim- What are Spriggans? Their appearance, why they are in groves and where they come from. Spriggans: A rare enough type of creature, is the Spriggan. Found in 4 different forms. Spriggan, Spriggan Matron, Spriggan Earth Mother and the Burnt Spriggans. On the whole, they are hollow wooden statues that are manipulated and controlled by swarms of leaf like bees, emitting a different colour of light depending on the type of Spriggan. They are found frequenting groves and wooded areas, and we shall explore the reason why. We also take a look at their relationship with the Hagravens, and their possible origins on Solstheim.
