LeJuan Watts (G - Washington State) Measurables: 6-6 233 lbs from Fresno, CA Years Remaining: 2 Notes: A big physical guard who averaged 13.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg, and 4.4 apg while shooting 42.2% from 3 last year. Very similar skill set to D5 where he can play on the outside and play post-up basketball. He’s a really good passer (25% assist rate) both in space and in post-up opportunities. He’s sneaky athletic with a quick first step off the bounce, although it’s not a huge strength of his game right now. He is a bit of a risk taker (24% turnover rate), but he also had a high usage rate (23.6%), and with development and being surrounded by other playmakers I don’t think this will be an issue. He’s a good catch-and-shoot guy (79th percentile) and really effective as the PBH in the P&R (78th percentile). As for his post-up game, he ranks in the 88th percentile, routinely on film, and makes the correct decision when getting doubles. Overall Thoughts: If you’re looking for a D5 replacement, this is just about as close as you’re going to get. He can shoot from the outside at a high rate, he can play on or off the ball, he’s effective in the post, and can guard multiple positions on the defensive end of the floor and play the 4-spot if needed. This is a guy that Texas Tech should prioritize and be aggressive in targeting in the portal imo Watts Highlights:    • LeJuan Watts - Washington State - 2024-25 ...   Donovan Atwell (G - UNC Greensboro) Measurables: 6-5 190 lbs from Huntersville, North Carolina Years Remaining: 1 Notes: I hope you like shooters. Atwell averaged 13.3 ppg, and 3.4 rpg in 2024-25 at UNC Greensboro and was one of the best shooters in the country shooting 40.2% from on 7.5 attempts per game (!!!). He is a career 39.3% 3-point shooter over 537 college attempts. He's an active spot-up shooter who understands spacing well and always has his hands ready to shoot. The lefty isn’t great off the bounce but can be involved in P&R sets. He is an excellent pick-and-pop guy (as the PBH). Watching him on film, I love watching him run off ball screens. He understands leverage well and reads a defense well to create the maximum amount of space to shoot from deep consistently. He’s a decent rebounder in that 3 to 4 per-game region. Overall Thoughts: I’d love to see Atwell as a more athletic Kerwin Walton replacement. He’s a guy that I think could give quality starter-type minutes any given night (think KO this season) and a guy that can guard 1 through 3. He’s a target for the Red Raiders in the portal, so don’t be surprised if you hear Texas Tech is heavily involved in his recruitment.
