Idlewood Lackner Woods Kitchener. In today’s video we’re going to take you through the Idlewood and Lackner Woods area of Kitchener. This neighbourhood has become one of the more desirable areas in the city since Fairway Road was extended over the Grand River to meet Fountain Street. There are some great schools out this way, we’re near the airport, and you can find a ton of new or mature construction. Watch as I take you through the Best of Waterloo Region. There’s a ton of small parks and trails in-and-around the area, most notably, there’s the Grand River Trail which follows the Grand around the neighbourhood. You can find some lovely scenery if you follow Idlewood Creek which flows off the Grand River and through Springmount Park. There’s Idlewood Park Natural Area, Briarfield Park, and the Grand River Natural Area too! There are also a few playgrounds sprinkled in here and there, and the whole neighbourhood is right beside Chicopee Ski Hill which offers even more hiking and biking trails.
