With a philosophy based around open-source technology, the Kingmaker and LA Lady are dirt-based pedals in Source Audio’s One Series. Both pedals employ a toggle to switch between three modes, along with Bass and Treble controls for each. The Kingmaker is the fuzz of the One Series and comes equipped with three modes: Heavy, which is an extremely saturated, violin-like sustain machine, Normal, which evokes vintage germanium fuzz units while retaining excellent cleanup and articulation, and Octave, which provides upper-octave snarl like an old Octavia pedal. The L.A. Lady is Source Audio’s One Series overdrive with three modes of its own. Classic mode sounds like a roaring Marshall full stack, pushed to its limit. Classic mode is Source Audio’s take on a classic Tube Screamer sound with more EQ options, and Crunch is a Source Audio original, sounding like a warm tube amp with an extended preamp gain range. All One Series boxes are fully Neuro App compatible, so players can download Source Audio’s free app and connect their phones to the pedals, giving options to load additional presets, parameters and EQ and even stack drive engines or assign them to either Output. Over 40 patches are available within the Neuro App, so unlike any other dirt boxes, the One Series pedals are future proof and built to last.
