Russian Folk Songs and Dances - Song and Dance Ensemble of Yugra

The Song and Dance Ensemble sets as its task active concert activities, preserving, promoting national culture and making a great contribution to aesthetic education, instilling love and respect for folklore, folk culture and traditions of our vast Motherland. “Song and Dance Ensemble” was created in 2012 by a decree of the Government of KMAO-Ugra. Since January 2016, the ensemble headed by the Chief Choreographer - holder of the medals "For Merits to the Small Nations of the North" and the "Association of Intellectual and Creative Forces of Ugra" - Mikhail Vladimirovich Pankov as part of the KTC "Ugra - Classic". The basis of the creative group "Song and Dance Ensemble" consists of graduates and students of creative educational institutions of Ugra: the budgetary institution of secondary vocational education "Center for the Arts of Gifted Children of the North", the Khanty-Mansiysk branch of the Russian Academy of Music named after Gnesins and the branch of the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts. Despite the small age, the team can rightly be proud of their professional and artistic success. The team of the Ensemble actively participates in the cultural life of the district, is an adornment of the international events of the district capital (biathlon, chess competitions, UNESCO conferences, Sberbankiad), and regularly tours around the district. The merits of the team include participation in the cultural program at the XX Winter Olympic Games in Sochi with the ethno-folk choreographic play “So Molupsi Tale of the Ugra Land”, a concert of the ensemble as part of the presentation of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area at the headquarters of UNESCO, Paris .
