Darren McCord (Jean-Claude Van Damme of Bloodsport and Timecop) is a former Pittsburgh firefighter who was sidelined because of a failed intervention that resulted in the death of a little girl. One night, he takes his children, Emily (Whittni Wright) and Tyler (Ross Malinger), to a field hockey game. The Vice President of the United States and the Mayor of Pittsburgh also watch the game from the grandstand. In the middle of the game, a group of fifteen terrorists, led by a Secret Service agent; Joshua Foss (Powers Boothe of Deadwood and Nashville), entered the grandstand and took those present hostage along with Emily. Foss demands that the U.S. government send certain credits to allied countries into his accounts. If it fails to do so, he will blow up the ice rink and its 15,000 spectators with C-4 buns scattered throughout the building.
