How NOT to Rig a Rope Swing - Start to Finish

Please don’t rope jump! But this is HOW if you don’t listen. I believe it’s better to share safety systems than to withhold it if people are going to do what they are going to do. If we glamorize it on the internet, we can at least show what goes into it. Please don’t rope jump! We include the prep, the rigging and the forces we got after jumping. I did this with Brett Stewart and Jaco Santulli who have built Studio Page, a better platform for creators. https://studio.page/. We did NOT use a haul system and so we ascended the rope which a whole different skill set. Haul systems can be seen in our other rope jump videos. Our results: The MBS of the entire system is approximately 44kn or 10,000lbf. I’m 160ish lbs and we got 2.79kn (627lbf) shared by both ropes and the main webbing got 3.36kn (755lbf). Brett is 240lbs and he got 3.99 (896lbf) shared by both ropes and the main webbing got 3.98 (894lbf). ➜➜➜Other episodes specifically mentioned in this video ►Rope Jumping Playlist    • Rope Jumping   ►5 Awesome Knots - adjusting a spanset    • 5 Awesome Knots that are hard to find...   ►Soft shackles    • Tying a button knot soft shackle WITH...   ►Highline Rigging Playlists    • Highlining   👉 Learn and SHOP at https://www.hownot2.com/shop 👉 Best EMAILS on Earth: https://www.hownot2.com/signup 👉 SUPPORT US and get gear discounts https://hownot2.com/support 👉 10% off ROCKY TALKIE by clicking https://www.hownot2.com/rocky Intro 02:09 Prepping in basement 12:13 Traveling to Fruitbowl 15:26 Getting Line Across 16:57 Building Anchor A 19:52 Building Anchor B 22:00 Tensioning Line 25:01 Throwing Bag & Safety 27:35 Jumps & Forces 30:07 Conclusion 31:39 Ending
