Since all these people who weren’t there seem to think that they are experts on the matter, let me tell you that Trey was absolutely hammered out of his mind. Trey spent the entire show out in front of the venue drinking and the tour bus. He did come out and hang out with us several times which at first was cool, but then we realized he was so drunk that we could barely make out a word he was saying. He started going around, asking people to put cigarettes out on his arm, which was full of scars and blisters, and he had random edge lord shit like “kill aoc” written in sharpie on his arm. once it was time for morbid angel to go on stage, we watched him go to the bar and slam shots at tequila with some other fans, before stumbling off to get ready. The entire set he was rocking back-and-forth and stumbling around. Almost fell over a few times, and then this happened. Ending the set short. 15 minutes later, he was out in front of the venue, still plastered, but standing up straight, and mentioned absolutely nothing about his back. It was hard seeing morbid angel like this. I grew up on their music, and while the band as a whole may be a shadow of its former self, it’s clear that a lot of the problems that they are having is due to Trey and his rampant alcoholism. If he doesn’t clean his shit up, he’s going to wind up dead.
