Major Spring Cleaning for a 120-Year-Old Japanese Farmhouse | Bonus: Ume Blossoms Season in Wakayama

Prunus mume, aka plum blossom, aka the Japanese apricot, is the first of the big trees that bloom in Japan in springtime, so it's sometimes known as the Big Brother of Flowers (花兄 kakei). It so happens that bordering Ryujinmura Village on the southern side is Minabe-cho, Japan's No.1 producer of Japanese apricots, and whole mountains of flowers line the road as you drive up from the seaside in late February. Ryujinmura has its own Japanese apricot orchards too - see them from the skies in this video. The rest of the video is basically cleaning up with brooms and rags. ASMR for cleaning freaks. Enjoy. P.S. This video was not sponsored by Dyson. But I'm happy to review Dyson products. Send some my way? The address: Ryunohara, 523 Hiroihara, Ryujinmura, Tanabe-shi, Wakayama Prefecture 645-0523, Japan. #japanesefarmhouse #ruraljapan #龍神村 About Ryunohara: I'm Lee, I'm 31, Singaporean, and have been living in Japan for almost 10 years. I'm taking a leap into the countryside to run a farm and in the near future a farm-to-table cafe in Ryujinmura, Wakayama Prefecture. I'm experimenting with natural farming techniques and will be making tea this year. In the meantime the 2 properties on the farm need a lot of restoration work. One's at least 60 years old and has a leaky roof, and the other is 120-years-old with a good thatched roof but wonky floors. With the help of my friends I'm going to make this work somehow so subscribe to get updates about Ryunohara the natural farm every Wednesday. ryunohara.com
