A massive squabble broke out in Punjab Assembly as the Budget Session entered the second day on March 04. A heated argument started in the Assembly after CM Bhagwant Mann presented Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan with a padlock asking him to lock the Opposition members inside the House to prevent them from walking out. The act in no time invited massive uproar and resulted in an escalation of squabble between Congress and AAP MLAs. Taking on Partap Singh Bajwa, Raja Warring, and Sukhpal Khaira, CM Mann made a scathing attack on Congress over various issues. Bhagwant Mann openly challenged Partap Singh Bajwa and said that Congress won’t be coming into power in Punjab. Further replying to Partap Singh Bajwa on seat sharing, he asked, “Have you ever sat with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi?”. The heated argument led to the adjournment of the house for 15 minutes. Partap Singh Bajwa after the session said that he accepted Mann’s challenge and would contest against him in elections. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring accused CM Bhagwant Mann of humiliating Sukhwinder Kotli through his ‘seizure’ remark.
