After attempting many "solutions", this was a very frustrating problem. Within the video I review the solution that worked for me as well as solutions that worked for others. In order to fix your brightness issue, go into device manager and change your "Monitor" driver to a different generic driver. If this does not work then try changing your graphics adapter. All else, I list several other minor fixes that you can attempt within the video. You can also run command prompt as administer and use the command SFC /scannow to scan all your system files for corrupt files. Another great thing to do is to go into your settings and check for updates. You can go onto your manufacturers website and using your serial or model number, you can download all of the latest drivers for you laptop.
