4 years after living in Tenerife, I'm returning to the island where I experienced life in an eco-sustainable community, living in a cave exposed to all the natural elements, with no heating, electricity or wifi, being a freegan, ... Tenerife Horse Rescue is a place that thaught me how to live abundantly with no money. It opened me up to so many new possibilities and changed the trajectory of my life. My trip starts with attending the first Canary burn - a bougee version of iconic burn gatherings. After 3 days of fun in the sun and dancing under the stars, I spent a few days relaxing in el Medano, a place that holds many memories of my most recent relationship. Being there was a part of my exposure therapy :) Lastly, I rent a car and venture out on a 6-day road trip around the island, starting with visiting Tenerife Horse Rescue for the first time after leaving in 2021.
