Before we can move forward with the construction of such a space station with artificial gravity of this magnitude, we must first identify the most difficult aspect of the project. We believe that the most significant obstacle would be to transport that substantial quantity of mass to low earth orbit (LEO) in the most cost-effective manner that is feasible. Elon Musk and his crew at SpaceX are, fortunately, working on this first difficulty practically around the clock . It is anticipated that SpaceX will have its Starship Cargo/tanker variant operating by the year 2025. After that, the crew of the starship will follow. Initially, Starship cargo will be able to transport 100 metric tons to low-Earth orbit (LEO), with the potential to transport 150 metric tons after Starship is completely optimized, which is likely to occur between one and two years after the first operational version of Starship has flown. Consequently, the initial components of the station may be carried up to LEO by the year 2026, which would be the point at which construction could begin. On the other hand, let us not get ahead of ourselves, especially considering that Elon's approach is probably not going to be like this.
