He's still not convinced and contends that the job helps him deal with his wife's death. Helly is still trying to quit, and she makes several attempts to get a note to her outie even though they denied her resignation request. Mark tries to discourage her, but she still ends up in the Break Room for a session. In the third episode, we saw our first cross-department encounter when Macrodata Refinement went on a trip to see the Perpetuity Wing. They passed Optics and Design on the way, and tensions were pretty high. Irv and Burt clearly have chemistry though. Severance is a new show on Apple TV+ where the characters have elected to have a surgical procedure to separate their work memories from what they experience out of the office.
