#bushcraft #bushcrafttreehouse #afamilyoutdoors I have decided to head deep into the Canadian wilderness..... well its more like deep into my back yard. You see we live in the country, this is a blessing in these times. So I head deep into my backyard to start my own Bushcraft series, A bushcraft treehouse! Covid may have us on lockdown but that doesn't mean that we cant still have fun, besides what better way to self isolate then in nature? I want to encourage those of you who are able to do the same, and I would hope that you also choose to support me with my own adventures at Camp Covid! So all this brings us to the first episode of the build, the landing and floor of the bushcraft treehouse. When I first started this project I had no idea that it would be so difficult, frustrating and extremely challenging. But that's what makes it memorable. Filming is no joke either, do you have any idea how may times you have to move a camera for one video? Now I see why Les Stroud always complained about having to go back and get the darn thing! I am a bit camera shy, it makes me lose my focus on what I want to say but im getting a lot better with it already. I started off by gathering dead wood from the forest, this lead to disaster! You will have to watch to see what that was. I guess everything in life can be a blessing depending on what way you look at it. You see we had to have a lot of trees cutdown on our place because of the pine beetle. But the left over top piles provided abundant building resources as we progressed into the build. I suppose we should have come up with that idea a bit sooner :P I know that some of you will think this is not a natural bushcraft shelter, but hey I see alot of people heading out for bushcraft camps in tents! Looking at it that way cordage isnt so bad is it. The people who helped me during this video are my Dad, you know him from other videos. My brother Kaleb, im sure you have seen him on other videos here aswell. Most importantly all of YOU! Thank you for all the support you gave me on my first video and for encouraging me to keep it up! I hope that you will all like this first video of the build series. I will do my best to answer all comments in the section below. Feel free to checkout our facebook page where you can see a lot of pictures of the build before the video's are released! There is a link if you chose to donate to my bushcraft build, the money generated here and from my videos will go to buying different building materials, tools and equipment for Camp Covid project! Specifics in this video: Music- New Orleans is sinking by The Tragically Hip, played by my Brother Kaleb!
