Chang Jing was born in Chengdu, Sichuan, at the age of 8 she began studying the guzheng. She attended Sichuan Conservatory of Music a middle school affiliated with the guzheng. From 1991-1995 she attended China Conservatory of Music and graduated first in her class, then joined China Song and Dance Troupe. Chang, guzheng tutor to Thai royalty, dazzled the audience with her exquisite rendition of A Moonlit Night on the Spring Lake at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Chang is not only master of traditional repertoire, but has also penned new music for the guzheng and released numerous albums. Over the years, she has broadened the appeal of guzheng music by adding Western musical instrumentation and infused it with diverse genres such as jazz, blues and new age, bringing a new surge of energy to traditional Chinese music. In the cover, there is an introduction of Chang Jing, After her excellent solo performance of "A Moonlit Night on the Spring River" at the opening ceremony of 2008 Beijing Olympics Game. Chang Jing Started to fuse her modern music form with deeper essential spirit of the civilization from Tang and Song dynasty established a whole new Chinese music dream with Guzheng, vocal, violin, percussion and other music instruments.
