From the age of 9, it appeared a strange piece of meat on a tooth on the right side of the inside of my mouth. My father took me to the dentist. The doctor became astonished with that strange body. Since I live on the country side of Brazil, I was transferred to the capital of my State: the city of Cuiabá (Brazil). In the year 1999 I arrived at the Saint Hospital of Cuiabá (Santa Casa). A biopsy was made at a region inside of my mouth, for further analysis and identification. I was informed that I had a "Bacteria from Grass", and I received treatment in Cuiabá For 3 years, so that I could be cured from this bacteria. Unfortunately, day by day my condition worsened more and more. The problem has evolved and burst out of my cheeks. My family went desperate and decided to take me to São Paulo, the biggest capital in Brazil. Once there, I received shelter at the house of family friends. And I was taken to the São Paulo Hospital. The doctors have looked at my face and became very alarmed, and immediately they have interned me, and sent me to the operating room, so to perform a biopsy on me. They have found that I had a very rare disease, that very rarely ever occur on children. A very rare type of Cancer. So finally it began the treatment to remove the disease. The doctors have scheduled a date to start to remove the infected area. I have spent 12 hours in the operating room. A series of surgeries were made. Where the surgeons have removed large chunks of my face and have made an implant. I went to the Emergency Room, where I have remained for 4 hours. Unfortunately my own body has rejected the transplant. So I they took me back to the operating room, where I have went through an additional 8 hours of surgery. This time, they removed away my face all over again. After that I went through Radiation Therapy. The doctors then decided to try again the implant on me, but all these attempts have failed. Only a minor piece of the implant went right, and that's the one I still have to this day. Now I am looking for help, so that I can reconstruct my destroyed face. My doctors are not going to help me any further, so I must raise this money separately, so to fund the surgeries to rebuild my face.
