As Vice reminds us on a weekly basis just how great Thomas Morton's content is, an outpouring of appreciation led to some mentions of his being fired from Vice Media in 2019. This is baffling news. Why get rid of someone you KNOW is popular (thats why they keep releasing and re-releasing his videos). Thomas was gracious enough to being the exclusive story, which is not as simple as he initially claims... make sure you watch til the end. Vice. The coolest freaking media entity on earth. You might disagree with that statement, but you wont be able to provide an alternative; at least not one in the same league. While the hipster vibe turns some people off, that’s simply a matter of taste, not a matter of substance. And if a critic were to point to some of the more cringey segments as representative of the content as a whole, that would just be a ridiculously incomplete criticism. Vice makes so much freaking content. So lets quickly break down the different kinds: Firstly - theres the news. This is coverage of current and relevant events, worldwide. Their bias is left of center, Soros funded, all that fun stuff. Which is par for the course in news media; political bias and corporate donors. But all that aside, they constantly bring stories to light which no other news outlets touch, which is off rip a great quality to have while most MSM share the same clickbait headlines, creating redundancy and,, well frankly its shit. If you were to say that Vice News is less professional, accurate, or biased than any of the major news networks, you’d be wrong. wrong. wrong. The left-leaning perspective, mixed with the fact that staff tends to be young and hip, has created hatred from many, but those people are miserable. Secondly - theres the music and art stuff. That’s pretty self-explanatory. Thirdly - the lifeblood. The Vice media that I have been happily digesting for years; cultural journalism. There are so many interesting things going on around the world and no one has done more to bring untold stories and unknown people to the masses than Vice. This stuff isn’t politically divisive, at least for Americans, and isnt limited to any one kind of topic, making for an ever growing library of educational and entertaining materials. This is where Vice leaves everyone else in the dust. You can learn so much about foreign cultures and domestic subcultures, and its freaking awesome. Heartbreaking, elucidating, bizarre. An integral part of this content is the ‘guide’,, The Vice correspondent thru whom you vicariously experience the subject matter being presented. The main focus is always the subject matter, but the person serving in this role will inevitable influence your viewing experience. There are several Vice correspondents that do their job well. But there is one that does it just a little bit better. He is the cream of the crop. He is Thomas Morton.
