It's probably the first game the successfully merged the action games and puzzle focused adventures and the first game (if I'm not incorrect) that merged 3D characters with 2D hand drawn backgrounds. It's thought mostly relevant for being an obvious inspiration for Resident Evil, which is probably the game that altered the industry and lead it to more story focused games. As far as the longplay goes, I was quite informal in the beginning so I could show a bit more of the game (it just shows the female character and the Game Over sequence) to the viewers that don't really know about it , so if you already played it, you can safely start the LP at 10:20 without missing much. I also read all the books in the game, which can be quite boring, so I'd recommend you to skip all of them.
