I always read all your comments and try to reply as best as I can to all of them. * Strawberry Roll Recipe * Ingredients For the dough - 1 cup milk - 2 tsp active dry yeast -1/4 cup sugar -2 large eggs - 4 cups all-purpose flour - 1 and a half tsp salt - 6 tbsp room temp. unsalted very soft butter Filling - frozen strawberries - 2 tbsp white sugar - 3/4 cup brown sugar - 1 tbsp ground cinnamon Frosting - 200 ml double cream / whipped cream - 3 tbsp powdered sugar - 1 tsp vanilla extract - Warm the milk for 15-30 second in the microwave ( slightly warm to touch ) - In a bowl of stand mixer, combine the warm milk, yeast and sugar - let it stand until foamy ( around 5 minutes ) - Add eggs, flour and salt in the bowl and mix on medium speed until sticky dough is formed - Beat in the butter, 2 tbsp at a time until the butter is incorporated before adding the next batch - Once butter is incorporated , knead the dough for 10 minutes on medium speed -Shape into a ball and cover with plastic - Let the dough rise in a warm place until double its size, or in the fridge overnight - Once the dough is double in size - Dust your work surface and rolling pin lightly with flour, roll the dough into rectangular size - Spread butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and strawberry compote all over the dough - Roll the dough into a tight spiral , cut the roll into 10/12 equal strips - Roll them up one at a time and place them into the baking pan - Cover and let the rolls rise in a warm place until doubled, about 45 minutes - Preheat the over 350°F ( 190 degrees C) - Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden - Let it cool for about 10 minutes -To make the frosting, whip together the double cream and add slowly the powdered sugar and vanilla extract - Add the frosting or whipped cream on top with some strawberries and sprinkle with powdered sugar. - Enjoy!
