The A7S has always been popular as a king of lowlight beast. When I did the video, it remains me a lot about the 5 year old A7SII. Which I didn’t have worry at all even a slow 24-105mm lens. But ofcoz, good lowlight camera doesn’t mean you have to shoot high iso all the time. Good lighting and good lenses are still very important. During the test, I didn’t max out the highest ISO. I only tested the iso I would normally go for. Upto iso 25,600 it was still pretty clean. Above that, u starting to get noise green footage. But still acceptable. In the video, there was quite a lot of banding in the sky. That was just the YouTube compression. The actual video was fine Overall, I have no complains about this camera. It is still the best camera of the year. Stay tuned for the part 3, I will be testing the 4K 100p/120p. Note: Did you guys notice that the intro video looks a bit different now? I have replaced my GH5S to the new Panasonic S5. I would also like to thank Smallrig for sending the A7SIII cage to me to test out. And it makes my run and gun shooting a lot easier.
