Greetings fellow travelers! In this video, we got an early start on our last full day in Paris, starting early with a visit to the Louvre Museum before heading over to the Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe and finally ending at the beautiful Sacré-Coeur church in Montmartre. ~Some tips for each of these spots: Louvre: -Buy tickets online in advance (https://www.louvre.fr/en/visit/hours-...) -The Louvre is closed on Tuesdays -Although we went very early, if you’ve got some flexibility we’ve read that it’s least crowded if visiting in the evening (during covid late-night openings are suspended but check that site when visiting in case they’ve resumed) -We started in the Denon wing as it houses some of the most well-known pieces. Arc de Triomphe: -While we didn’t purchase tickets to visit the top, Matt has done so in previous visits to Paris and it offers spectacular views down the Champs-Élysées. -Purchase tickets for the monument: https://tickets.monuments-nationaux.f... Sacré-Coeur: -We loved the Montmartre neighborhood so much and highly recommend grabbing a snack and some champagne (or your drink of choice!) to enjoy the sunset over the city -Tip - you can wait until just before the Church grounds to buy both as we ended up buying our chocolate croissants near the metro before walking all the way up which was definitely a beginner's mistake :) -Info for both arriving at and visiting the church itself: https://www.sacre-coeur-montmartre.co...
