The grand final. The big one. The last dance. The big daddy. The championship match. The biggest day on the NRL calendar. The NRL grand final goes by many names but as rugby league fans we can all agree it is the biggest single day of the year. The grand final is once again fast approaching so we thought we’d create our biggest video yet, by taking a look back at grand finals that shocked us, inspired us and captivated us so we tune in to watch the big game hoping our team can be holding up the Provan Summons trophy as premiers. There have been 22 NRL grand finals with the first in 1998 and the most recent being 2019. Some of them didn’t quite live up to its expectations making it not as memorable in the eyes of many, but some engaged us like never before whether it was the incredible rugby league skill on display, the spectacle itself or the classic moments that either changed the game or decided the match, that will be cemented into our memories, forever.
