DJI Mavic Air 2 - Obstacle Detection and Avoidance Test - APAS/Bypass Mode

Not having done much flying with my Mavic Air 2 where obstacle detection and avoidance has been too significant a concern, I decided to give it a brief test in my yard, where it passed with flying colors! Note that the Mavic Air 2 only has sensors for forward, backward, and downward vision. It seems to me that the ability for it to fly around an obstacle without hitting it - where side vision would be an aid - apparently is the result of the forward vision still seeing the size of the obstacle being approached, thus predicting whether sideways flight might succeed in bypassing the obstacle. Similarly, if an obstacle isn't so tall that it extends through the "top" of the forward vision, the Mavic Air 2 seems to then realize it can fly over the obstacle rather than go around or below it. Careful flight remains needed, but the system does work quite well!
