PCA RADE Memorial Day Weekend. 3 Day event from May 23-May26. Friday Advanced Only Day. All Marques allowed. Video is from the afternoon on Friday in the Purple Group highlighting a 3 lap sequence of sub-2:40. Goals were to smooth out turns 1 & 5 and get some better entries and maximize exit speeds for the chassis I'm in. Up my game through the Kink to see over 100Mph at entry. Break 2:40. These were achieved so the weekend was a success. Car is STOCK with 87,000 miles on the clock. Still running the OEM suspension and its getting long in the tooth but still able to handle a track day. Just a bit soft in the corners not helping with exit speed or long sweepers like the Carousel and Turn 14. Suspension camber is OEM max, which is about -1.4F & -1.6R. Run Toe at 0 up front and -0.3 per for the rears which keeps the back end very stable during those high speed braking zones going into Turns 1/5/12. Car did get the Turner Bracket and Poly Bushings for the Diff. Rogue transmission mounts and the Turner Carrier Bushing. Air Filters are the AFe Dry that fit the OEM airbox. Calipers rebuilt at the beginning of the season. PFC 06 Front/PFC332 Rear with RBF660 Brake Fluid. Tires are Yokohama Neova AD09 with 6 days on them at the start of the weekend. They are well worn and you'll see near the end of the session I almost lose it in Turns 1 & 8. So I had to slow it down. Driving home is the victory. Many thanks to Jeff Kruger Motorsports (find him online). After my first session on Friday I badly need a brake bleed and one of his guys jumped in to help me out over lunch. Salvaged the weekend for me. Time of 2:37.5 is a personal best in this car at Road America. Little refresh of the suspension, camber plates, tires and it won't be so easy to get a point by from me. Lot of "Busting my Stones" for bringing a BMW to a P-Car event.
