While the Dreamcast had every reason to succeed, the sheer popularity of Sony's PS1 and PS2 made it difficult to compete, and contributed heavily to the Dreamcast's ultimate failure. In spite of this, the Dreamcast is still looked back upon fondly as a truly unique console with an unrivaled library.
