Sandy : I believe students should attend their orientation because that's your first experience of your course and that's a chance for you to get to meet all the people that are going to be in your course as well as your teachers. You can ask questions that you're thinking about and it helps you get familiar with the campus. Ricky: Students who attend orientation get to make new friends and they know about the studies, they know about the college, and they know about courses. Rutendo: Students should attend their orientation because I believe it's important for them and especially for those people who are international students, I would encourage them to not miss it. The reasons are because here I find it different. From my own experience when I came during the first week they are hands on, you go straight into starting your classes, you start studying and you actually start the real work. If you come for the orientation you get all the information that you need so that when you start you are not still trying to find your way and you will already be familiar with most of the things that are going on, so you won't have a difficult time trying to fit in. because the orientation leaders will be there to help you, that's there work, to help you transition into this college, so don't miss it. Vinay : Because they get homework and they meet new people. And it's more interesting and it's fun. Cassandra: Just because you get to meet your classes, your classmates, you can find your locker, get your parking pass, find out where some of your classes are, sign up for your locker and some of the teachers actually assign reading assignments. Michael(Orientation Intern): Students should attend their Orientation because the school is expanding ever so fast and it's important that they get to know where their classrooms are and meet their faculty. It's important that they're able to get a better grasp on what college life is really like and what's important to them. Marcia : This will be their new home for a while. They should come, see the layout of the building, their classrooms, their teachers (most importantly), their fellow classmates...they'll be spending a lot of time with them. Dumo : Orientation is like looking into the future of where you're going so when you come into orientation you not only know what program your getting into, you get the list of the books that your going to be using, the textbooks, you get to meet the teachers, the lecturers and so on. You just see the school and get more accustomed to it so it's an all around good thing.
