Grace Church COVID-19 Response 17 March 2020

We are living in unprecedented times in our nation. In the light of the most recent advice from the UK Government relating to the measures put in place to limit the spread of the Covid-19 Coronavirus, we have taken the decision to suspend all physical meetings across Grace Church, and recommend that people do not meet together until further notice. This includes Sunday morning meetings, midweek groups and meetings, all children and youth work, and other leadership and planning meetings. Although times when the church meets together are very important, we do not cease to be church during this time. It is very important that we stay connected one to another, and that now more than ever we are looking out for one another and seeking to meet other’s needs as much as we can. We will try to deliver as much of the church activity and diary as we can, just in a way that does not require us to be physically in the same place. There will be something at 10am on Sunday morning that we can all connect into. There will be times when we can all pray together. This Thursday evening, we are scheduled to pray together as a church, so let’s do that. We are working all that out and will give you more information on how it will work as soon as possible. God is our protector and provider as much now as always. He is not surprised by Covid-19 and holds us in His hands. But let’s pray for God’s mercy on our nation, and that God would sustain us at this time, in terms of our health, our emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and also our personal financial situations as well. Let’s pray that through this time of uncertainty, the church will emerge stronger and that God will use it all for his glory. I’m sure there will be more information and announcements to follow. I also encourage you to get in touch: with me, with the church office, with your Life Group, with friends.
