As our nation grieves over the loss of President George H.W. Bush, I foraged the Video Creations archives for my favorite clip of our time spent with 41. I hope that through the sorrow we can smile for a moment, seeing a glimpse of the President's sense of humor. Here is the backstory for those who are interested. On this day, Video Creations was called to the compound to record both 41 and 43 doing a shout out to Bob Gates who had served as CIA Director under 41 and Secretary of Defense under 43. The bit was supposed to be funny. 43 says I don't have any funny ideas. I say, well, why don't you pretend to confuse Bob Gates with Bill Gates. 43 wasn't sure, but 41 loved the idea.
